The Ahuroa Stream Bridge on Stanley Road, Te Popo, was constructed in 1916 after the original bridge became unsound in wet weather. It was built several years after the Stratford County Council first requested funds from the Ministry of Works. 

Text on marble plaque reads:

W. HATHAWAY ... COUNTY CHAIRMAN

C. PENN ... CLERK

W.J. LOPDELL ... ENGINEER

F. LEROY  ... FOREMAN

William Hathaway was County Chairman from 1912-17, C. Penn was County Clerk from 1900-31 and W.J. Lopdell was County Engineer 1914-18.
