This plaque recognising the contribution of Allen & Marjorie Alexander (through the L.A. Alexander Trust) to agricultural education is located on the corner of Faull Road and Ngatimaru Road. The plaque was unveiled and 70 native trees planted on Saturday 7 August 1993. The trees were planted on land which used to be part of the Alexander farm, part of a podocarp arboretum in recognition of the Alexander's generosity.

who gifted their estate [Wynthorpe] to the people of
New Zealand through a charitable trust
to encourage education in
horticulture and agriculture

He kura whenua ke rokohanga
People and places pass away
Only the land endures.
