For many years the Ratapiko Cricket Club (est. 1931) was based at the Tariki Domain, Surrey Road. The replacement pavilion here was opened with an 'Old-timers Match" on 14 December 1986. (Brian Beer pers com)
The Tariki Domain was the club's third home-ground after Dravitski's farm at Ratapiko and the Ratapiko School grounds.
The Tariki pavilion was removed in 2019-20.
