A permit was granted by the Borough Council to G. Taylor on 6 November 1933 for the construction of a residence on Town Section 1182, Gover & John Streets - R. Hoyle was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £590.
Whilst there is an addition to the eastern end of the cottage, the original portion of the building retains its original windows.
