This large weatherboard home in the popular English Cottage Style was constructed in 1933 for local building firm Boon Bros Ltd. It is located on a prominent ridgeline above New Plymouth City and the exterior is in fairly original condition.
A permit was granted by the Borough Council to Boon Bros on 17 May 1933 for the construction of a house on Lot 5, Part A, Ridge Lane - Boon Bros were the builders and he estimated construction cost was £760.
