This large 1920s weatherboard home in the English Cottage Style is notable for being built on the street boundary.
The permit that most likely relates to the construction of 15 Ridge Lane was granted by the Borough Council to Archdeacon F. G. Evans on 30 August 1926 for the construction of house on Part Town Section 1754, Ridge Lane - H. J. Watkins was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £1290.
A copy of the original plans are held by NPDC, although they are not signed - it is possible Watkins was responsible for the design.
