A permit was granted by the Borough Council to C. Denny-Brown on 7 February 1922 for the construction of a house on Town Section 300, Powderham Street – F. Trevorrow was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £1100.
Whilst the NPBC permit book lists Messenger and Griffiths as the architects, the original plans for the home held by NPDC were prepared by William Newton Stephenson - it thus seems the permit book is incorrect.
A permit was granted by the Borough Council to C. Denny-Brown on 6 February 1928 for additions to a house on Town Section 300, Powderham Street – F. Hartnell was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £107.
