The exact construction date of this home is currently unknown, but likely dates to the 1890s or early 1900s, and was possibly constructed in several stages.

The section was subdivided and purchased by A. H. Arnold 1892, who owned the property from that time until 1902, when it was purchased by Mary Freeth. Mrs Freeth was the first of several owners over the two decades, with T. Bransgrove, J. Horne, Mr Bayly, C. H. Burgess, E. H. Symons, and E. Guscott all owning the section at some point in time before 1919.
