The home at 60 Young Street was constructed for T. H. Weston in 1919.
In November 1919, plans for three cottages on Town Sections 137 and 138 were deposited with the Borough Council - the homes were constructed for T. H. Weston by Coleman & Son, and the total cost was £2250.
As of August 2017, only 60 Young St survives, with 62 Young St demolished in 2016, and 64 Young St some years earlier - both homes were removed to allow for the expansion of Southern Cross Hospital.
