Three permits were granted to "Buckman" on 29 July 1914 for the construction of three homes on Section 1 of Town Belt I, Wallace Place - Buckman was probably the builder, and each home had an estimated construction cost of £288.

Whilst these permits relate to the homes currently at 7, and 7A, and 9 Wallace Place, it is unclear which permit relates to what home.

On DP 3300, dated July 1914, it is noted that the owner of the sections was H. M. Buckman, whilst they were surveyed for J. Buckman (likely the builder).
