A permit was granted to Stephen Lush on 5 July 1912 for the construction of a residence on Lots 1 & 2, Belt Road (now Sanders Avenue) - Lush was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £400.
Lush sold the property to electrician James Walter Blyde, who owned the property until 1917, when it was advertised for sale and subsequently purchased by engineer Thomas J. Sinclair.
