In late July 1911, a permit was granted by the Borough Council for the construction of a residence on Town Section 356, Dawson Street, for A. M. Calvert; the architect is not listed, but the estimated cost was £395 - this very likely refers to the villa formerly located at 60 Dawson Street on Town Section 357.

A. M. Calvert purchased this part of Town Section 357 in September 1911 from the Estate of Edward Okey (about one month after the permit was granted), and retained ownership of the section until June 1918, when it was sold to E. G. Ward.

The villa was later home to the Cunninghame's for a number of years, before being shifted from the section when the Taranaki Medlab building was extended - the current location of the home is unknown.
