A permit for the construction of a house on Lot 6 of Part A, Part Section 22, Frankley Road, was granted to carrier Frederick Billingsly Jones on 25 November 1924 - H. Rowe was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £947.
Frederick continued to live in the house until his death on 1 October 1963, aged 84 years; he is buried in Te Hēnui Cemetery.
