This building was constructed in 1910 to replace an older school building that was beyond repair - the architects were Sanderson and Griffiths (James Sanderson and Horace Victor Griffiths).
The present Frankley School opened in 1969, and this old schoolhouse was deemed surplus to requirements and passed into private ownership.
For a detailed history of this schoolhouse and the site, please see Hamish Crimp's draft heritage buildings report.
