Gray's Villa, 77 Brougham Street. Hamish Crimp (2017).
Located on part of Town Section 747, this restored villa was constructed for New Plymouth dentist A. D. Gray in 1902.
Gray purchased the section in 1900 (it's thought there was an old house on the corner of the section at this time), and a permit for the new home was granted by the council in November 1902. The building permit register lists the architect as Bullot (probably Louis Bullot), who is also presumably the builder; the estimated cost of construction was £500. Gray subdivided the section in 1920, and sold sold both parts soon after.
