This corner bay villa was probably constructed for Lawrence Wells about 1910.
Lawrence worked as a storeman at Messrs Burgess and Fraser, and married Miss Mary Antonica Joseph at St Mary's in late December 1910. It seems this was the couple's first home, and they probably moved in soon after the wedding.
Wells is noted as the ratepayer for section 12 of Vogeltown Extension no.1 during 1913 - the property was valued at £24.
