McArthur Residence, 10 Rawhiti Street. Hamish Crimp (2017).
This 1900s home is one of two villas on Rawhiti Street, and part of a cluster of villas located near the intersection of Carrington Road, Huatoki Street and Hori Street in the original Upper Vogeltown settlement.
The villa was constructed for New Plymouth accountant James McArthur in 1906. McArthur was heavily involved in the development of Upper Vogeltown in the early 1900s.
