A permit was granted by the Borough Council to electrician Norman Stanley Bell on 21 December 1936 for the construction of a residence on Lot 8 of Part Section 93, Sackville Street - W. B. Hosking was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £800. A note records that the section was owned by Jean Bell.
Norman resided at the house until his death on 19 March 1988, aged 76 years.
