This new Plunket building on the corner of Devon Street West and Weymouth Street opened in August 2012. It was designed by Elliott Architects NP Ltd. and the builders were Cook & Street Ltd.
The previous Plunket headquarters on Courtenay Street, erected in 1949, did not meet the needs of the Society and a decision was made to build new purpose-built premises.
Two warehouses previously on the site were demolished to make way for the new Plunket headquarters. The warehouse on the corner was built for Mr J. Arthur by J.H. Ashman Ltd in 1960.
