A permit was granted to Charles McNeill on 10 December 1932 for the construction of a residence on Town Section 1750, Ridge Lane - Boon Bros were the builders, and the estimated construction cost was £1700.
The architects were Griffiths & Stephenson. 'Stormont' is one of several large character homes on Ridge Lan and the exterior is in largely original condition.
