This building is located on the corner of Currie Street and Currie Lane.

An old wooden building known as Wembley House was almost completely remodelled in 1941, replaced by a reinforced concrete building for Whites Limited. It was designed by the firm Griffiths and Syme and the contractor was Harold Rowe. The New Plymouth Borough Council issued a permit for the work (alterations) on 9 June 1941 with the estimated cost being £1,560.

In 1957 the building was purchased by the firm Marketing Services Limited, a wholesale importing firm. Presumably, it was about this time that the lettering on the façade changed from Whites Limited to MSL.

In 1945 Masefield Fabrics Ltd moved into the building and later the Internal Affairs Department occupied the upper floor.
