This church was originally built as a Kingdom Hall for the Jehovah's Witnesses in 1959. The hall was officially dedicated in October 1960, valued at £8,000, but opened debt-free. Built to seat 300 people. Alterations were carried out in 1965, and in 1977 a covered entry was added.

By 1992 the church was known as the "West Baptist Church" and additions were made again to the building.

West Baptist Church, as it is still known (2024), is located in Spotswood at 144-146 South Road.
