The Katikara Memorial is located on the site of what was St George's Redoubt on Lower Pitone Road in Tātaraimaka, southwest of New Plymouth. The memorial marks the mass grave of more than 20 Māori from several iwi including Taranaki, Ngati Ruanui and Whanganui who were killed in the Battle of Katikara on 4 June 1863. It was unveiled on 16 June 2002.
