A permit was granted by the Borough Council to J. S. Wilson on 7 March 1927 for the construction of house on Town Section 195, Weymouth Street - R. Lovell was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £890.
This bungalow is notable for its brick construction - a rarity in New Plymouth.
