A permit for the construction of two shops, on Part Town Section 912, was granted to 'Jenkins and Williams' in November 1922 - the builder was Amoore, and the estimated construction cost was £1250.
The building is notable for being in largely original condition, and also for being one of only a few older CBD shops to retain their original street-level facades.
