Webster Residence, 29 Carrington Street. Courtesy of Google Street View (October 2022).
This attractive corner bay villa was constructed for K. Webster and his family in 1908. A permit for the home was granted by the Borough Council in October 1908, with the architect listed as Frank Messenger; the estimated cost of construction was £440 (note that the permit register lists Pendarves Street not Carrington Street).
Frank Messenger called for tenders "for the erection of a residence for Mr K. Webster" in the Taranaki Herald of 19 September 1908.
