This memorial was erected in the Year of the Veteran (2006) and dedicated to all servicemen and women who have served in conflicts or peace-keeping missions for New Zealand.
It was sponsored by Clegg's Funeral Services, Hawera. The illustrations on the base are taken from a mural in the RSA rooms, painted by Eric W. Terrill.
A representative of South Taranaki Funeral Serves (formerly Clegg's) advises that the memorial was quietly unveiled on Anzac Day in 2006. (per comms)
