A permit was granted to Llewellyn Larwill Humphries by the Borough Council on 15 January 1940 for the construction of a house on Part Town Section 26, Hine Street – L. M. Ward was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £800.

Llewellyn lived in the home until his death on 10 May 1963.
